Schools Superintendent Robert Avossa will recommend that West Boca Raton High Principal Mark Stenner be suspended 10 days without pay for plagiarizing his speech to this spring’s graduating class, district officials said Monday hours after Stenner made an unplanned visit to the campus.
Stenner returned to his stomping grounds after weeks of being reassigned to the district’s choice office during a professional standards investigation – but his reappearance at the school at 12811 Glades Rd. was premature.
Palm Beach County School District spokeswoman Natalia Powers said Stenner’s return was the result of a misunderstanding after he met with the superintendent earlier in the morning.
